What is recorded when you visit

Like almost every website, our server records each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file you opened, and your browser and device type. From the IP address we derive an approximate location (country and city) using the DB-IP database. We do not ask for or use your precise location.

We use this to keep the website secure and working and to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). These records are deleted automatically after 14 days. They are not sold or shared with others.

Statistics

We also count visits anonymously with Umami, running on our own server: which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, and how far people get in the booking form. It uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses or names.

Cookies and local storage

We set one functional cookie (poli_lang) that remembers the language you chose. Your browser also keeps your music on/off choice and an unsent booking form on your own device; this never reaches us. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Booking requests

The booking form does not store anything on our server. When you send it, the message goes through the service you choose — WhatsApp, Instagram or e-mail — and that service's privacy policy applies. We use your details only to arrange your appointment.

Other services

The map on the contact section is loaded from Google Maps, which then receives your IP address. Fonts, photos and videos are served from our own server.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, via Instagram @poli.hair.nl. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
